PDF (Portable Document Format)

Portable Document Format files are the electronic versions of documents that were originally designed for printing. Quite often, these documents contain more information than the web page does. You'll need special (free) software, Acrobat Reader, from Adobe Systems to view these documents. There is a version of Acrobat Reader for almost every computer.

Adobe Acrobat Reader

The free Adobe® Acrobat® Reader allows you to view, navigate, and print PDF files across all major computing platforms.

  1. Go to Adobe Systems, find the Download Acrobat Reader button (usually at the bottom of the screen), and download the Acrobat Reader for your platform.
  2. Install the Acrobat Reader on your computer.
  3. Now you can view PDF files through your web browser, or download the PDF files to your computer and view them when you wish.
